US Youth Games, July 16-19
The City of Oakland and the Office of Parks and Recreation hosted the 42nd Annual US Youth Games.  Congratulations to the Newark, New Jersey team for winning the Girls Volleyball Competition, and to the Oakland (Gold Team) for finishing in 2nd Place.  Go to US Youth Games for more information on the event.

A Special Program for Boys & Girls Ages 8-9
Coach Gilbert is seeking families with children younger than age 8-9 (born AFTER September 1, 1999), for a FUTURE co-ed junior volleyball program with the premise of training the boys and girls together, and then splitting into a separate boys team and girls team.  The program will start at a future date to be determined.  Families interested in this program should contact Coach Gilbert directly at 510.867.0695, email: ggong@oaklandnet.com.
