Welcome to the home page for the Harrisburg Youth Association. HYA supports over 2000 kids in the community of Harrisburg NC and surrounding areas. We offer baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, and football to any child interested in participating. HYA is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers who spend many hours ensuring that your children have a place to play recreational sports. Ages: 5/6(coed), 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/15. Age is determined by your child's age as of October 15, 2008

Cost:
Membership fee: $25 Cabarrus County Resident $50 Family Max, $35 Non Resident $70 Family Max(calendar year fee use to pay for goods and services beyond the registration fee)
Registration Fee: $75
Please bring your child's current height to registration
Registration that occurs after the last posted date will incur a $25 late fee.
Raffle: All registrations that occur on October 18th will be automatically enter into a drawing for a $100 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card.

FREE SOCCER CAMP
This Fall Sport Camp features soccer for boys and girls, 7-12 years of age. The camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game, as well as the fundamentals of various positions and skills. The camp will focus on a variety of aspects of the game including kicking, dribbling, passing,heading, and teamwork. Our camp staff is comprised of various volunteers from HYA and our community. Many of our camp staff are current or former collegiate athletes. Please complete and mail the registration form found in this link:

HELP!!
HYA is now bigger than ever and as a result our volunteer resources are at their max capacity. We are actively seeking volunteers that can commit their time to help us serve the community by providing youth sports. We have several vacancies that need to be filled. Over the next several months HYA will transition its management to the Town of Harrisburg. The executive board positions of President, Vice President, and Secretary will assume a lessor role after the transition. The remaining positions will still be needed. Registration is closed for all sports however we have a few openings on the following football teams:
JUNIOR MIDGET: ages: 10,11,12 weight 85-135 age 13 weight 85-115 lbs
MIDGET: ages 11-12-13-14 weight 105-160 age 15 weight 105-140 lbs

In order to better serve you as we further automate our registration process it will be necessary for each family to request an account even if you choose not to register online. Please note: If you are a current HYA member as of spring 2008 please request an account then send an email to: Nancy. This will allow us to add your membership to your account as paid otherwise you will be prompted to pay for a membership when signing up for a activity.
