How Far Can You Swim in an Hour - Results! The Results are in for our first "How Far Can You Swim in an Hour?" fundraiser: ... Communications and our Stingray Website We will attempt to do most of our communication via email, and through the web site. However, there is a crate with a family folder for each family at the pool. This will be brought out for each practice, and serves as a secondary way to communicate with team members. Payment for meets, meet absences and communication with the directors and the coaches can be done via the folders or email. For the specialty meets, there will be entry forms in this crate. One copy of the meet results will be available on the Monday following each meet, and will be posted on the web site. On the website, we list results, post team pictures, schedule of meets, directions to other pools, social calendar and team records and coach bios. Meet registration forms will also be available here. If you have any suggestions on things you would like to see on our site, please let us know. There is an email link to the webmaster at the bottom of the page. Swim Team Sleepover Information about this event will be coming via email. Your family will be camping in a tent at the pool. The sleepover is for swim team members and their parents only. No siblings over 6 (who are not members of the team), cousins, friends, babysitters, etc. will be admitted (siblings 6 and under are welcome). The pool rules apply to this event. Special Meets During the season there are several special meets. We attend the Wynnewood Novice Meet and the Don Schaub Novice Meet. These are aimed at the swimmers who are newer to swimming, and do not typically place in the top 3 in meets. You have to be slower than a certain time to swim in them. More information, including registration forms, will be posted soon. The Straehle meet is for the top swimmers, who swim faster than a posted time. These times will be posted on the web site, after June 4. We typically send 10-12 swimmers to this event. The Rock and Roll Relays, hosted by Wynnewood, is a relay-only meet that is a lot of fun if you don't mind loud music. The fries are good too! This event is on Monday June 25th. Where did it go? Can't find an article that used to be here on the front page? Click on the News Archive link and you will probably find it there. |
