The Heartbreakers finished 33rd out of 134 teams in the 2007 ASA Nationals. Going into Friday's action, the team was 2-0. However, HB lost to the Jensen Beach Wildcats 4-0. The Wildcats scored 3 times in the first and that was all the offense they needed to win. Taryn Ashway scattered 5 hits and struck out 6 for HB. Katie Renner had 2 hits and Amy Metcalfe had one hit.
HB returned to Texas A&M Softball Stadium for the next game against the Oklahoma Attack. The Attack nursed a 1-0 lead going into the 5th but added 4 runs to provide the final margin of victory. Alicia Brandenburg allowed 5 hits and struck out 7 in the circle. She had 3 wins in the tournament. HB scored their only run in the 5th when Kelsey Mills hammered a ball off the left center field fence and Karson Tuck drove her home with a single. Tuck added another hit and Taylor Wyatt had the other HB hit.
