Youth Sports Tips By Marty Schupak
Baseball Tip

It's just January and in some parts of the country snow is still on the ground. Don't let the weather stop you from running a couple of indoor practices if there is an indoor facility or gym available. Remember to keep the practice short. Use soft covered or plastic type balls. I use and recommend Pickle Balls. Soft toss and tee ball hitting drills against the wall or wall mats are excellent with Pickle Balls or rag balls (rags covered with masking
tape!) Involve your assistants using station drill set-ups with three drills. Divide your team up and have them rotate stations every 4-6 minutes. And always end your indoor practice on a high note with a game. Remember you are limited indoors to what you can do but getting the kids together as a team is important. There are also other links for other skills and drills.
