Thanks to all the boys who tried out this year.  The competition was extremely tough and the scoring spread was closer than it has ever been.  With all of the quality players this year, we have added a third team to the U14 age group for the first time in Dublin Travel Baseball history!!  It should be an exciting year.  Best of luck to everyone.

The Green Sox are the USSSA 2008 State of Ohio AAA Champions !!!  They began their quest with pool play wins over the Jr Spartans from Toledo and the Brunswick Blue Devils.  The Green Sox ended up as the #4 overall seed which pitted them against the Hilliard Panthers on Saturday morning.  The Green Sox beat the Panthers 11-4 to advance to Sunday.  The first win on Sunday was a brutal 11 inning game against a determined Olentangy Braves squad.  The Sox were able to squeeze home the winning run in the shootout to advance.  Their next opponent was the Strongville Stallions White team.  It took a tough 7 innings in the afternoon heat to achieve a 7-3 victory and advance.  In the semi's, the Green Sox faced the #1 seeded Midwest Renegades.  The team took the lead early and was able to maintain it with a good combination of defense, offense and pitching to win 10-7.  In the championship, the team shutout the Pickerington Big Katz for the 8-0 win.  The boys played brilliant defense throughout the tournament and deserve the title of STATE CHAMPIONS!!!  Congrats Green Sox!!

SURVEY RESULTS ARE AVAILABLE BY CLICKING BELOW.  AS YOU CAN SEE, THERE IS REALLY NOT MUCH CONSENSUS.  I DO HAVE ADDITIONAL RESPONSES THAT CAME VIA EMAIL THAT ARE NOT REFLECTED IN THE PERCENTAGES.  BASED ON THE SURVEY I WILL BEGIN WORKING ON THREE THINGS.

1.  MAKING SURE WE HAVE A HOME FIELD AND HAVE A RELATIVELY BALANCED NUMBER OF HOME GAMES.

2.  KEEP MONEY COMMITMENTS THE SAME OR LESS AS PREVIOUS YEARS.

3.  FIND ONE POST-SEASON OUT OF TOWN TOURNEMENT (i. RIPKEN OR WORLD SERIES TYPE EVENT)
