Attention all GHS Boys Ice Hockey players!

The Jim Fixx Memorial Day race is scheduled for Monday May 26th. All players are requested to show support and report to the Bruce Park softball field no later than 7:15 AM on race day. Further instructions will be disseminated at that time.In summary, players will be assigned to direct traffic and runners at specific intersections of the race. The entire event usually lasts around two hours. Provided there is ample participation from the hockey players, a monetary donation will be made to the booster club. This money will be used for things like extra practice ice (both JV & Varsity), practice jerseys, team supplies, etc.

It's been a long-standing tradition of the hockey team to participate in this event. An added incentive is that each player who participates may use this event as further confirmation of community service. Community service is always important when going through the college application process.
