Sunday, October 28
ISA Fall Showdown-2nd Place
The 'original' 12U Georgia Sun Fastpitch team recently placed in the ISA Fall Showdown in Covington on October 6, 2007. The girls came ready to play some serious ball that day. We started off the day by winning our pool game. The winning pitcher was Ashley R. We went on to play 5 more games. Kelsey F., Ashley R., and Caitlin G. all pitched very good games. Our defense was hot with several beautiful double plays and our bats were rockin'! We played a tough team in the championship game. We lost to the Georgia Wizards after a very close first four innings of 0-0 ball. Our record for the day was 4-2. Great job everybody!
