Please consider for a moment the league(s) in which you are currently participating - what are you paying for that league and what are you getting in return for those fees? The 2008 season is complete and the GCSBL has had a tremendous 2nd year. Congratulations to the 10U Midland Tomahawks, 11U Delhi Eagles, 12U JB Yeager, 14U Cincinnati Sharks, 15U Cincinnati Falcons, 16U Cincinnati Storm and 17U/18U Ohio Heat for clinching their division titles. | GCSBL GOALS |
|---|
|
Low league fees. $150-$250 depending on level of competitiveness.
| |
High rewards for the competitive travel teams as well as the local teams just wanting better baseball competition and flexibility. All flavors of teams will have equal & realistic opportunity for reward.
| |
Develop a truly select division within GCSBL containing the very best teams in greater Cincinnati.
| |
Provide a low cost, "no hassle" division for less competitive teams just wanting a level above recreational baseball.
| |
Black & White guidelines to remain in your particular division or to advance to the next level.
| |
A method for new teams to advance to the most competitive division even after 1 year.
| |
Divisions will have a maximum number of teams.
| |
A desire to host an exciting end of year tournament with large rewards. We will look to partner with a similar Indiana select league and possibly other Ohio and Kentucky leagues.
|
Due to the high reward structure for all levels of competition and the low league entry fee, the GCSBL will become the best selective baseball league in the area. The format will also allow an elite class of baseball for those that have this desire. As the league grows, we will strive to partner with organizations that will help to promote better baseball. I ask that you seriously consider joining the GCSBL and compare the structure to the current league you are participating in.
