This position arranges for all publicity and promotion required by the GCGH.  Some specific duties include maintaining the GCGH display cases at the Orleans Recreation Centre, maintaining the banner display at Ray Friel #2, accepting submissions, producing and distributing a GCGH newsletter, and provide regular routine updates to the GCGH membership on upcoming events, changes to policies and procedures and other related association business.on upcoming events, changes to policies and procedures and other related association business.

This position arranges for all marketing of the Association and provide support at the team level.  Specific duties include placing newspaper advertisements and posting flyers to promote GCGH programs and activies, promoting the GCGH within the community, developing an annual marketing plan with the Board of Directors and other related association business.

Senior House League Director
This position acts as the intermediary on all matters between the senior house league teams and the GCGH Board of Directors.  Specific duties include ensuring senior house league coaches sign the GCGH House League Head Coach contract and ensuring the head coaches submit a consent form for a Police Record Check, organize and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the senior house league evaluations and balancing and approve the rosters of the senior house league teams in accordance with the GCGH House League evaluation and balancing protocols, obtain from the head coaches a list of their proposed team staff (ie. assistant coaches, trainers etc.) and submit it to the House League Hockey Operations Committee for approval, ensure that all team personnel submit a consent form for a Police Record Check, ensure that the Registrar has all the necessary information and documentation for the players and team staff, attend each team's parents meeting to go over the team's budget and expectations, distribute to the team managers, game schedules and all other information and documentation received from senior hockey bodies, other Associations, GCGH Directors etc., act as liaison to the ODWHA House League Director to resolve team ice conflicts, scheduling problems etc., and other related association business.

These positions are 1-year term positions, renewable at the 2009 Annual General Meeting.  We encourage you to consider putting your name forward for one or more of these positions.

In addition, we are very proud that we have managed to introduce a number of initiatives over the years and we will continue to look for ways to sustain our association in the future.  Thanks to the monies we received last year from the Trillium Foundation, we are now able to hire a part-time Executive Coordinator to assist the Board of Directors in its mandate.  Attached is a job description and an outline of the application process.
