Welcome to the Southwest Little League (SWLL), District 5 Website!
-Thanks to Rick Erickson for setting up our recent Pitching Clinic. Over 30 players attended and learned quite a bit from the coaches. Nice work Rick.
-We have been invited to participate in the Treasure Island Land Parade at 4:30pm on Saturday December 6th. All participants should arrive at 4:00pm at the Treasure Bay Recreation Center on Paradise Blvd. The parade route will continue to the Clock Tower. A Tree Lighting Ceremony and light refreshments will begin shortly after the parade. Please come out and support Southwest Little League with your team!
-On Saturday, December 13th we are participating in the St. Pete Beach Holiday Land Parade. The parade begins at 9:00 am. The parade route is from the intersection of 70th Avenue and Gulf Blvd., then turns right on Corey Avenue and ends at City Hall.
We expect a great turnout for Southwest Little League members and their families. Coaches, please have your teams arrive in uniform at 8:15 am at 70th and look for our float.
- Spring Tryouts and registration have been scheduled at Egan Field for the following dates:
Wednesday, January 7th 6pm
Thursday, January 8th 6pm
Saturday January 10th 10am

-Southwest Little League has scheduled Opening Day for Saturday, February 28th at Hurley Field beginning at 10:00 am. Volunteers are needed to coordinate food and beverage, activities, clinics during this exciting day. Please contact swll2008@aol.com to help out.
-SWLL has also scheduled our Rays Family Event for Saturday April18th with the Rays versus the White Sox. You will hear more about this well attended event over the next few months.
