WOW

Has it been 21 years already? My sister was on the first Finesse 15U softball team is in 1986. I remember when Barry was our biggest rival!!! How at that first world tournament in Muncie Indiana, we lost our first game and won the next 10 to finish in 7th place. How it rained so hard that they had to bring the chain gang in to fix the fields. How Finesse had 4 shutout games in a row (in slow pitch that is amazing) and played until 430am and had to be back at 830 the next morning. It’s great to see Shirley and Denny’s, Amy and Lauren Hoffman’s, Sue and Bill Craig’s, and my Parent’s passion carried on for such a long time. Such good memories, like in Lubbock in 1988 playing the host team and putting up a 14 spot in the first inning, or when the Lubbock news crew was there and that WA pitcher pitched between her legs and Tonya Smith (the 1988 USSSA scholarship winner) hit a 280 ft grand slam that was the lead story on the 6:00 news. My sister and I sat down and looked at your sight and were in awe of all the kids you are sending to college. I think my sister was the first Finesse player to get a college softball scholarship and was the first to make the all world tournament team. It is great to see all those Bingo nights and camp outs to run concession stands at Interlakes softball fields have paid off for so many kids. May the next 21 years be just as successful!!!

Just wanted to say great job to the 16U Finesse team at the ASA 16U Nationals. I guess we showed them some Midwest teams can play with anybody. Our team really enjoyed playing the Finesse twice this season, both games were great. Hope to see you again this coming year at Compuware. Tell your ASA state directors to move you state tournament so you can join us out in Colorado and kick some west coast teams rearends. Good Luck this coming season! # 78 " A-Train"
