Conditions of Play


CHECK IN / TEE_OFF: You must check in and pickup your scorecard 15 minutes before your Tee Time. The first day (July 30) has tee times beginning at 9:00 am. The second day (August 7) has tee times beginning at 6:36 am. If you are late for your tee time, hardcard local rule applies. You must play within your flight’s tee time block.


FORMAT: Stroke play as governed by USGA Rules of Golf and in particular Rule 3. The FHMGC Senior Club Champion will be determined by the low gross score from the Blue Tees. Flights 1 and 2 will be playing the Blue Tees and participnts are eligible for the Senior Champion designation. Flights 3 & 4 will be playing the white tees and will not be eligible for the Senior Champion title. Additionally, each Flight’s Champion and additional prize winners will be determined by net scores. Exchange score cards with a fellow competitor in your group who will be your marker.


TEEING GROUND: Indicated on scorecards. Course combinations are Canyon-Meadow on the first date (Wednesday), and Meadow-Links the second date (Thursday).


RECORDING SCORES: Gross scores must be recorded on scorecard or you are disqualified; subtract handicap from gross score and record net on the appropriate line if you desire. The committee will verify the hole by hole scores and total score.


TIES: Will be settled by a scorecard play-off as specified in the current USGA Rules of golf, Rule 33-6, and Appendix I, 2 (c ). Stroke Play and Club policy (Last 9, Last 6, Last 3, 18, By Lot).


CLOSEST-TO-THE-HOLE CONTEST: This is an individual competition each day paying $25.00 in ProShop credit.


RULES: If you feel your ball may be lost outside of a water hazard or OB, play a provisional ball. If in doubt of a procedure or rule, play a second ball (Must declare in advance which ball will count and must report facts to committee). Read hard card for your options on #6 & #9 of the Meadow if your Tee Ball may be lost in a hazard. Everyone observe your fellow competitor’s strokes and their ball’s final location. See page 21 in the membership handbook for the teeing ground policy.


SKINS GAME: A voluntary $10.00 skins game (separate pot each day) is available both days. Individuals may enter with cash only at the check-in table on the first date only. Skins are determined by net better ball score on each hole.


PACE OF PLAY: Pace of Play will be enforced! You must finish the front nine in 2 hours and 20 minutes, the eighteen in 4 hours and 45 minutes, or be within 15 minutes of the group in front of you. The policy is on the card distributed with your member’s packet.



PRIZES

Are in the form of credit in the Prize Book in the Pro Shop. Credits can accumulate through the season, but must be spent by December 31, 2008. (no exceptions).

Prize amounts and distribution is based on number of players and will be posted the day of the tournament.
