New season around the corner, fans anxious over quality of new signings
With the new season nearly upon us F.G.U. have been making preparations for the upcoming campaign. However squad improvements have been hampered by a posponement of the JET orientation ,traditionally an event which yields the most summer signings. Fans have expressed reservations over some comments from players welcoming players of all abilities and both sexes.
A club spokesman sought to allay fears and put the fans at ease. "The club went through a trasition year last season, several new players came in and we'll be looking for them , as now senior players, to push on and move F.G.U. forward. Of course we have to bring in quality signings they have some especially big shoes to fill not just in attack but also in midfield."
Indeed with both Wallis and Kershaw departing a new supply line for the new look attack needs to be brought in. The club spokesman reitterated his stance. "With both Heneghan and Canning departing a good proportion of the goals have been taken away but the supply line is eqally important.

Heneghan, eye for goal

Without a good supply line no forward is going to prosper." This is where the fans have also expressed alarm. One fan forum was particularly scathing in the lack of infomation available to the loyal supporters. "How are we going to replace Wallis in midfield? I've not heard a thing from the transfer rumour mill on the sky sports news page, what's going on? Yes he was a bit of a party boy but he brought something to the team. Him and Kershaw had quality, they put bums on seats. Who's gonna do that this season?
The fans and neutrals alike will be awaiting the season opener with baited breath.
