A superb way to finish the season as league champions and doing the league double over Sauchie who we have not beaten at Sauchie for a long time.

Fauldhouse United East Region South Division Champions 2007/2008
Fauldhouse United have clinched the championship with a game still to play.
Congratulations to Andy Cunningham his backroom staff and all the players on securing the title after a very hard season with Harthil and Haddington chasing us all the way to the wire.
It is a credit to the players that they have clinched the championship especially after the club going through a difficult time financially and without the support of the players and the management then the club would not have made it to the end of what has now become a very successfull season.
I would also like to thank all the sponsors and everyone who buys/sells lucky lotto tickets.
On Sat Fauldhouse play Sauchie away (bus leaves from coop 12:00) and on Sat night we have our Player Of The Year Dance in the miners welfare club upstairs lounge.
Tickets are priced at £5 including disco and buffet and can be purchased on the night, please come along and show your support to a wonderfull team of players.
Next season Fauldhouse will compete in the premier league which includes our old scottish Cup opponents Kinnoull and Ballingry Rovers who have ex Fauldhouse United player Brian Roberts.A big step up as far as quality and travelling but i am sure we have the players to compete successfully and everyone knows the Fauldhouse support likes a wee day away.

Ross McGeachie became a dad for the first time when his daughter Rhea was born at 4pm on the 14th of March at Wishaw General.
Congratulations from all at Fauldhouse United to Ross his girlfriend Louise and baby Rhea.

Albert ensures quiz night a winner

Due to Parkview being unplayable the fixture for Sat 8th March has been changed to Millfield Haddington.
The committee of Fauldhouse United would like to offer there apologies to all the supporters and sponsors for the short notice of the tie being changed but it became obvious on Friday that Parkview was not going to be playable for Saturday.
Many thanks to Tom Thornton the Haddington Athletic secretary for the swift response to the request to switch the tie to Haddington and to match referree Kevin Fernie for inspecting Parkview on his way home from work.

Big Coops is the "Daddy"
Congratulation to Fauldhouse United's longest serving player Andy Cooper on becoming a dad for the first time after his partner Gemma gave birth to Carla (thought they might have called her Foxy !!!!!) in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Mother and baby are doing well and should be out of hospital on Monday.
Also need to congratulate Alex and Mary Cooper on becoming grandparents for the first time.

Ex Fauldhouse United president, committee man and player Eddie Lafferty was honoured by a minutes silence before yesterdays game.
Eddie sadly died last week after battling bravely against poor health over the past few years.

Bobby Elvis McArtney donated the soup and rolls on sausage on Sat for the snack bar and also served it.
Bobby never watches a game as he is always attending to the paying customers at the snack bar but his contribution at Fauldhouse is much appreciated by all the committee.

Casey Purdie is mascot at Parkview
Casey Purdie was the team mascot for our game against Dalkeith and was kitted out in Fauldhouse colours.
Casey had pictures taken with Fauldhouse United captain Andy Storrar and with match referee Graeme Leslie.

With her mum, younger brother and grandad all attending Casey had plenty off support.

Francis Carlin has left Fauldhouse United and signed for our East Region rivals Blackburn United.
The committee would like to thank Francis for his service to Fauldhouse United and are really glad he has decided to resume his playing career.

Michael "Bambi" Howley performs at Dalzell Park
Fauldhouse United played a friendly against Kilsyth Rangers on Monday at Dalzell Park and Michael Howley was awarded performance of the match for his impression of bambi.
The all weather pitch was iced over and although most players struggled to keep their balance Michael took it to a new level (Big Al gave him a 5.7 for his 1st half performance).
Kilsyth won the game 4-2 but they must be used to playing at Dalzell as all their players had trainers on and ours wore boots (bad idea).

Absent Friends
Fauldhouse United held a minutes silence for Dougie Deacon and Winifred Brannan who sadly passed away.
Dougie a lifelong supporter of Fauldhouse came along to the games with his pals Ed Doyle and Willie MclDuff and will be sorely mised at Parkview.
Winnie the wife of committee man and local celebrity Tommy Brannan also sadly passed away after a long battle with poor health.
The committee would like to express our deepest sympathy to both families and also to thank all players,officials and supporters of both Fauldhouse and Broxburn who honoured the minutes silence.

The committee of Fauldhouse United would like to thank everyone who attended,donated to or sponsored a table at our annual Sportsman's Dinner on Friday 21st September.The speakers Brian McGinlay and John Gahagan where both superb and had the audience in stiches with some superb football stories and jokes.A big thankyou to the ladies section of Fauldhouse Miners Welfare who once again provided a superb meal for over 200 people (no easy task).

Scott McDonald accepts assistant managers position at Fauldhouse
Scott McDonald has been confirmed as Andy Cunningham's assistant at Fauldhouse United.
The committee are delighted with this appointment and would like to wish Scott every success in his new role.

Jamie McAllister (striker) and Glenn Weir (goalkeeper) have signed for Fauldhouse and Scott McGeachie has resigned.

Arniston retain the Jimmy & Jean Holburn Memorial Cup
Arniston beat Fauldhouse 1-0 to retain the cup with a well taken goal after 80 minutes of a keenlyl contested game.
Mark McGarty had the opportunity to draw the game level with a penalty, but a superb save from the Arniston keeper ensured they retained the trophy.
It is always a pleasure to play Arniston and the hospitality shown to all the Fauldhouse supporters and committee is much appreciated.
Shoogly,Jock and Alan made us all very wellcome and there was no shortage of either food or drink.
John Holburn presented the trophy after a gracious in defeat speech by Peter Lynch ( the referee got the blame for Fauldhouse not winning ha ha) and it is always a pleasure to see and have a chat with Margaret Holburn.
Congratulations to Arniston Rangers and we hope to see and beat them next year at Fauldhouse.

Fauldhouse put the bairns to bed
In a very entertaining game Fauldhouse came back from 2 goals down in 20 minutes to claim a well deserved win 3-2 over a young Falkirk side.
Falkirk opened the scoring in 12 minutes with a well taken finish and 8 minutes later added a 2nd and looked on there way to a convincing win.
Fauldhouse had come close a couple of times before Kieran Bryce tucked away a superb header from a Chris Dolan cross.
Andy Cooper came on in the 2nd half and scored an awesome goal after Jamie McAllister played a great ball through the Falkirk defense.
Ally Graham completed the scoring with a late deflected goal to seal a confidence boosting win.
Mark McGarty,Ross McGeachie and Chris Dolan all had shots that the young Falkirk goalkeeper did well to save
A good game to watch with some lovely football played by both teams and some excellent finishing and goalkeeping.

Fauldhouse United have donated 2 of our old Miners Welfare srips to Gambar in West Africa (see attached pic) and 1 ex Lammies strip.
Paddy Brannan arranged to have the kit sent over to Africa and hopefully we will get some more pictures to add to the website.
Well done to Paddy and best of luck to the guy's who inherited the kit.

Andy Cooper signs on for another season
Team captain and the longest serving player at the club Andy Cooper has signed for another season with Fauldhouse.
John Burrows,Ross McGeachie and Chris Dolan have also all signed new deals.
New additions to the squad include Michael Howley,Gary Cunningham,Kieran Bryce and Craig Meechan.
The committee and management are delighted Big Coops and the others have signed and hopefully with the new additions to the team Fauldhouse will be challenging for promotion to the Premier League.

Mark McGarty who bid for "Teddy Bears" in the sponsored race scooped the biggest win of the night with £110.
The Irish bingo was won by Kevin McDonagh and raffle prizes by Chic Pearson,Bobby "Elvis" McCartney,Andy Cooper and Scott McDonald.
