Elmer Little League By-Laws and Constitution

Dear Elmer Little League Members (yes, that’s you):

Football may be on TV, but baseball is definitely in the air. Please take a few minutes to review and comment on our league’s revised constitution and by-laws. The by-laws, in particular, explain:

  • how coaches are picked

  • who is on the board

  • your rights to vote on league matters

  • rules of the game

  • and a bunch of other things.

Joe Cardona, our League Information Officer, will be collecting comments on the constitution and by-laws until December 15. They will be presented at our next General Membership Meeting on December 18 and those accepted will be incorporated into the final draft. The final constitution and by-laws will be voted on at the January board meeting, in time for our 2009 season.

Thank you for reviewing the documents.

Send your comments to Joe Cardona, cardona@rowan.edu or call him at 358-0686.

LittleLeagueCoach.org….Free Online Resource Site to Launch in March

Final touches are being made to the new online resource to be available for all Little League coaches and managers. Little League staff and Cramer, a company from Norwood Massachusetts, are currently testing functionality. Unlike certification and test to advance courses, Little League’s goal is to provide an all inclusive resource site that provides a little something for everyone without the “pressure” of testing and completing courses. The site is packed with video clips and articles ranging from the role of the Little League Coach to practice planning guidelines to how to field a ground ball. Here are some other categories on the site:
  • Season Planning
  • Parental involvement
  • Rules of the Game
  • Teaching the skills
  • Drills and Activities
  • Planning a Practice
  • Safety and conditioning
  • Managing on Game day

    Volunteers Needed
Little League Baseball is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Elmer LL cannot function without volunteer support from our community. If you can volunteer your time (even 1 hour) you will help make our league a great place for our children to play baseball and softball. You might even have some fun doing it!
