Welcome to the Home of Elmer Little League

Elmer Little League provides Baseball and Softball programs for boys and girls ages 5 through 16.  Our main goal is to provide a sports program for our children to learn the fundamentals of Baseball or Softball, participate in a team sport and have a whole lot of fun!    Following the guidelines set by Little League Baseball, Inc., playing a team sport can teach a child discipline, character, loyalty, commitment, and courage.

Elmer Little League By-Laws and Constitution

Dear Elmer Little League Members (yes, that’s you):

Football may be on TV, but baseball is definitely in the air. Please take a few minutes to review and comment on our league’s revised constitution and by-laws. The by-laws, in particular, explain:

  • how coaches are picked

  • who is on the board

  • your rights to vote on league matters

  • rules of the game

  • and a bunch of other things.

Joe Cardona, our League Information Officer, will be collecting comments on the constitution and by-laws until December 15. They will be presented at our next General Membership Meeting on December 18 and those accepted will be incorporated into the final draft. The final constitution and by-laws will be voted on at the January board meeting, in time for our 2009 season.

Thank you for reviewing the documents.

Send your comments to Joe Cardona, cardona@rowan.edu or call him at 358-0686.

Click on the links below to read the documents. If you do not have Microsoft Word you will need to open the .pdf files.  To open the .pdf files you will need Adobe Reader.  If you don't have Adobe Reader you can download it here.

Safety Report "Hits and Runs, Bumps and Bruises: Health, Safety and Injury Prevention are the Keystone of Little League"

Dear Little League Friends:

For more than a half-century, Little League International has maintained extensive records on injuries in Little League games and practices. These records have been used over the years to monitor trends and, when necessary, to effect positive changes in the Rules and Regulations.

In many cases, these changes have eventually been adopted in other youth baseball and softball programs, as well as professional baseball. It is just one of the many aspects of Little League that sets us apart from all other youth baseball and softball programs.

For the first time, Little League International has produced a comprehensive report on the history of Little League's efforts and accomplishments regarding the wellbeing of its participants and volunteers. This white paper entitled "Hits and Runs, Bumps and Bruises: Health, Safety and Injury Prevention are the Keystone of Little League" provides an extensive review of advancements in these areas.

We invite you to review this important document, produced by the Little League International Communications Division. The white paper can be found at the Little League International web site by clicking on the link to the PDF below, or by pasting it into your web browser:
