Competing in tournaments against other teams from Washington and throughout the Pacific Northwest is one of the highlights of each season. We will be attending four tournaments this year

Skagit Valley
Tulip Tournament
April 26-27
We started strong by defeating NW United's F92 (3-1) and F93 Red teams (4-1). In the first game Maddie scored twice and Alex core once. In the 2nd game Phoebe scored twice, and Maddie and Becca each scored once. We dropped our third game, 2-1, to Norpoint FC92 Spirit with Maddie scoring for us. Nonetheless, we qualified for the finals, where we experienced a heartbreaking loss on kicks from the mark (4-3) to FCV Independence.

Rainier Challenge
Tournament
May 23 - 26
We entered this tournament having just adopted a new defensive alignment, so our objectives were primarily for the girls to start implementing what they had been taught in practice. We started out with a 2-0 loss to FC Willamette; the score was 1-0 until the very end. In the second game we tied FC Columbia 1-1 on a 2nd half goal by Maddie (who also just missed scoring what would have been the game winning goal in the final seconds). We lost our final game against FC Reign (4-1); although we kept it close with a goal by Alex early in the second half, our opponents got the better of us in the end, scoring 3 goals in the final 15 minutes.
