2008 District #3 Major Softball Championship!

Connecticut District 3 Captures World Series
Seymour, representing Connecticut District 3, moved relentlessly through the Eastern Regional Tournament, winning 8 consecutive shotouts to earn a trip to the Big League Softball World Series. In Kalamazoo, the pattern continued with Seymour winning 6 games, allowing only two runs and walking off with the championship. In the nationally televised final game. Seymour edged defending champion, Michigan District 2 , 1-0, behind the one hit, 16 strikeout pitching of Rachele Fico.
