District 11 Information

Team rosters, League fee's, Accident & General Liabilty Insurance and waiver form deadlines are May 28, 2008. On June 15, Background Screenings must be completed, Tournament Enrollment Forms completed and the Charter & Accident insurance adjustment deadline takes place.

District 11 Welcomes Preston Softball to District 11 for the 2008 season. Preston joined us this season and we welcome them. The President is Mike Devito and he can be reached at 22devito@comcast.net or 860-887-8019, Good Luck Mike and the Preston Girls Softball League.

District 11 Meetings

District 11 picked to Host Tournaments:

9/10 Softball - Section II 

Norwich/Taftville and Moosup (3 games per night using 2 fields).

9-10 Baseball - Section II:

Jewett City and Killingly  (3 games per night using 2 fields).

11-12 Baseball State Tournament

Thompson (1 Game per night). 

Maps and brackets will follow closer to time of Games

 

 Mandatory Tournament Managers Meeting June 16th:

Tournament rules will be discussed, affivatiates Guidelines will be relaid by staff members. All managers must attend!!

Tournament Seeding Meeting:

On June 12th district 11 will hold its 2008 Tournament seeding meeting. All league presidents must submit each division they will enter in the tournament by June 8th. An e-mail was sent to league presidents on May 20 with instructions & will go out again the beginning of June.  

District 11 Presidents Meeting 

On May 15th District 11 held a staff to discuss the upcoming tournament. Plans are in works with ADA tournament schedules completed. Town Affidavite discussions, Tournament directors named, Managers & Coaches meeting set, ASAP plans discussed, DA Responsibility named.

District 11 Presidents Meeting:

On April 17, District 11 held its 5th meeting with league presidents. ASAP plan status was discussed, Ed Charlton D11 Saftey Officer informed everyone he expected the district to be 100% this season. Interleague play forms and waiver forms also discussed.

On March 6th, District 11 held its 4th meeting for the 2007-08 season. Saftey plan recap (ASAP), Interleague play forms & Waiver Forms.

District 11 Presidents Meeting: 

On February 7th, District 11 held its 3rd meeting for the 2007-08 season. Edward Charlton talked to the League presidents concerning the ASAP and the importance to complete them and submit to LLBB. BAck Ground checks, Charters and the Positive coaching alliance was on hand.

District 11 Presidents Meeting: 

On January 10th, District 11 held its second meeting for the 2007-08 season. Local league's completed, signed and submitted league boundry maps so they are on file with East Region Headquarters. New Regulation on 12-Year-Olds Goes Into Effect
One of the agenda items voted on by District Administrators at the 24th Little League International Congress in Houston earlier this year, was a regulation requiring that all league age 12-year-olds must be placed onto a Major Division team. Pitch In For Baseball Expands Support for Little League’s Urban Initiative
Pitch In For Baseball (PIFB), Little League’s equipment donation partner, continues to expand the ways in which it is supporting the growth of Little League Baseball and Softball.
