Welcome to The Crete Crush. The Crete Crush organization is a fast growing group of players that want to play competitive softball while still having fun! They are dedicated girls that love the sport. They train hard, they play hard. It began with one team, one coach, and a group of girls that had won their in-house league championship and wanted more! Founded by Gina Welsh, The Crete Crush are now entering their 6th season, and have grown to tremendously. The Crete Crush are a girls fastpitch softball travel club out of Crete, Illinois who are committed to providing our player’s with the developmental skills needed to ensure their growth as athletes on the field, as well as the life skills needed off the field. In addition, a strong emphasis will be placed on the importance of academic excellence, good sportsmanship, and positive behavior. The passion that drives the Crush as an organization is our love and respect of the game. Our players are highly motivated to excel in the sport through hard work and dedication, while forming everlasting friendships. Our goal for each season is to have fun, better our skills, showcase our talents, & prepare our girls for each and every game they play all the way until Nationals.

Crush Holds Food Drive

One day coach Gina was doing her banking at First United when she saw a sign for the Food drive they were holding for the Crete Food Pantry. Coach Gina thought that was a great idea especially since she didn't even know Crete had a food pantry. If Coach Gina didn't know...How many others did not know.

So our wonderful Crush families held a food drive "Crush style". We held fall round robins for our teams and teams of the community. We asked for donations from the teams and our own Crush parents and asked them to bring them to the fields the morning of the round robin. The response was tremendous. We collected over ten boxes of food that were delivered to the Crete Food Pantry. Everything from baby food to vegetables were bagged up and brought over for needy families this fall.

Thank you to all the parents, players and visiting teams that assisted us in our drive! We could have never done that without you. Thank you also to Coach Lowe who helped me deliver the food to the pantry.

Crete Crush Fall Round Robins

The Crush is hosting fall round robins we have several dates and ages playing. See our "Round Robin" Tab for information.

We are also running a food drive for our local food pantry. We are asking players/teams/families to donate non-perishable food items to our drive. All items will be donated to the Crete Food Pantry.
