Do CLL teams participate in any tournaments?
Minor, Major and Junior teams may chose to participate in tournaments during the regular season. For those players whose skills are more advanced, the Little League International Tournament provides the largest sports tournament in the world, with more than 40,000 games played each summer on the road to the various World Series tournaments.

How is CLL governed?
CLL is a non-profit organization that is supervised and administered by adult volunteers. There is a board of directors responsible for carrying out the Little League program guidelines and managing all parts of the season. The funds necessary to operate the league come from registration fees, sponsor contributions, fund raising and donations. CLL is one of 14 leagues in Oregon District 2. We are charted by the National Little League organization, which is headquarted in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Why Little League?:
The words "Little League" have symbolized the very best in youth sports for more than six decades. The first Little League game was played on June 6, 1939. From those humble beginnings, Little League Baseball has become the world's largest organized youth sports program. In the space of just six decades, Little League grew from three teams to nearly 200,000 teams, in all 50 U.S. states and more than 100 countries. No other youth sports organization comes close.

And the basic goal remains the same as it did in 1939, to give the children of the world a game that provides fundamental principles (sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork) they can use later in life to become good citizens.
