Generals Take 5th in 1st Tournament as a team!!!!!
With their 3 wins and 2 loss record the Cascade Generals take a solid 5th place. With Jake Shadle and Danny still shaking off the long high school season. Bubba Brown, (no-hitter vs. Longhorns), Andy Hunthausen, (well pitched 5 to 4 win over Laces) and Conor Cook and Tom Schumaker(4-0 shutout over Bulldogs Blue) stepped up big and picked up a win each with spectacular pitching performances. The Generals bats came to play as well during the tournament, scoring a 28-1 victory over the Longhorns.

Stadium & GK Both move on to the STATE Tournament
Congratulations to Schu and Tylor for a hard fought win over Puyallup 8 to 7, to earn the #4 seed to state. Jon, Danny and Jake also in a tough 4 to 2 win over Curtis are going to state as the #6 seed.
Stadium will be at Kent memorial Park on Sat. may 19th at 1pm
GK has to Travel to Columbia Basin CC in the tri cities for their 1pm match up with the #1 seed from the east.
Glenn call me, remember when we talked about this at the board meeting. GK is going to the Eastside next Saturday.

Vashon Wins 1st Playoff Game
The Tom Schumaker lead Vashon Pirates, beat Meridian HS in the 1st round of the playoffs, 6 to 4. They play Friday harbor on Saturday. Good Luck Tom

PRACTICE ON SUNDAY, MAY 13TH, 2 TILL 5PM GK HIGH SCHOOL
Our second practice will be Sunday May 13th 2 till 5 pm, at GK high as well. With all the boys doing so well in school ball we will not be able to get together during the week right now! We will be looking into getting some cage time for the players who did not make the playoffs! Make sure you take care of your arms as well!

The Narrow league is now set for the playoff run! With Stadium ( Jake and Tylor)taking 3rd they are in the districts. Gig Harbor (Drew and Bubba), Foss (Andy) and Bellermine (Jake A.)all are battling for the final spot in districts.

GK Eagles win SPSL South league
With the outstanding play of 3 Cascade Generals, Jon Poch, Danny ODell and Jake Shadle, the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles High school team finished 11-3 to win the SPSL South league by 1 game. All 3 player pitched in the final and deciding game against Emerald Ridge with Danny picking up the win and Jake getting the save! They next play the crossover game against the No.1 ranked team in the state, Tahoma on Friday night, May 4th, at Kent Memorial Park.
We now await the finish of the hard fought Narrows league to see which Generals will continue in there quest for the high school playoffs.

Jake Shadle's No-Hitter Vaults GK into playoffs
In an all important league game with Curtis, Jake fired a no-hitter with 16 SO and 0 BB's. winning 1-0.
In the 2 games with Curtis there have been a total of 2 runs scored, Danny lost 1-0 in 9 inn. earlier in the season.
The win secured GK baseball a spot in the playoffs for the first time in school history.
We now wait and watch intently for the narrows league to unfold and see if we might hookup with other General's in the district tournament.
From what I have seen in the paper, looks like Schu's bat is coming alive and of course Matt's bat and pitching is carrying the Lakes squad. Bubba arm seems to be in good shape and Tylors name appears in the hitting columns. Conor name is in the paper and seems to be pitching well except he is always pitching against Auburn. Logan, our newest catcher, was hot early. I hear Jake A. is the new man on the bump for Bellermine. Andy as always is battling to get Foss to the post season.

OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE FUNDRAISER TICKETS!
The tickets were mailed out today, April 25th, If you do not get them in the next couple days for some reason, please contact me so that I may get you some more!
The fundraiser is slated for May 19th, 11am to 1pm, the day before our 1st doubleheader of the season. The boys will need to be there by 10:45.

Game Adjustment!!! June 10th game has been changed!
The June 10th DH at Husky ballpark has been changed to a single game starting at 10am at GK High. Eastside baseball lost the use of Husky ballpark for that day.
We have added a single game on June 6th starting at 7:30 at Husky Ballpark to make up for the lost game.
The schedules and calendar both show the correct schedule!

By splitting a doubleheader on Sunday the Cascade team earned 3rd place in the Bench Jockey Classic.
