2008 All-Star Season Complete

Congratulations to all our tournament teams for their performances this summer!

Zone 3-6-7 Girls are Alberta Summer Games Gold Medalists!
Congratulations to the Zone 3-6-7 girls team on winning the gold medal in the female baseball event at the 2008 Alberta Summer Games in Medicine Hat on Sunday, August 10th!  The girls went a perfect 4-0 in the tournament and finished it off with a 14-4 victory over the Zone 4 team from Red Deer in the gold medal game.  Six of the athletes on this team were from Calgary West Little League.

Medicine Hat are the 2008 Little League Alberta Major AA Prairie Champs!
Congratulations to Medicine Hat on winning the 2008 Major AA Prairie Championship here in Calgary at Optimist Park on Monday, August 4th in an exciting final game versus Rocky Mountain with a 9-5 victory!  Congratuations also to the host team, Calgary West, for a 12-7 victory over South Chief in the consolation final.  Thanks to all the teams, umpires and volunteers for making the tournament a great success and a great way to end the season!

Minor AA All-Stars are District 8 Champs!
Congratulations to the Minor AA All-Stars on winning the District 8 championship with an exciting victory over the very classy and ever tough Fish Creek Minor AA All-Stars on Tuesday, July 29th.

Minor AA All-Stars are Prairie Finalists!
Congratulations to the Minor AA All-Stars who were finalists in the Minor AA Prairie Championship losing an exciting final game to South Chief 10-7 on Sunday, July 27th in Calgary.

Major AA All-Stars are Medicine Hat Champs!
Congratulations to the Major AA All-Stars on winning the Medicine Hat Major AA All-Star Tournament with a victory over the host team in the championship game on Sunday, July 13th!

Minor All-Stars are Airdrie Champs!
Congratulations to the Minor All-Stars on winning the Airdrie All-Star Tournament this past weekend with a 17-2 victory over Bow Ridge in the championship game on Tuesday, July 1st!
