State Cup Group Play
The SCC Breakers 94G White went undefeated in State Cup group play this past weekend. On Saturday the Breakers beat the Alpine Menlo Rebels 5-0 and the San Juan Spirits 95 White 1-0. On Sunday, they beat the Novato Velocity 2-0 to win their bracket and advance out of group play. The defense put in a solid effort, allowing no goals to be scored. The Breakers next game is this coming Saturday where they face league rivals Almaden ICE for the right to move on to the State Cup Sweet 16.

Breakers fall short on PKs
The Breakers and ICE battled to a scoreless tie through two periods of regulation and two 10 minute golden-goal overtime periods. Unfortunately, the PKs went the ICE's way this time and they will be moving on to the State Cup round of 16. Considering the fact that these two teams have tied six of the last seven times they've played, today's result didn't come as a complete surprise.
