Time Commitment: August through October, 2 hours/night - 3 nights a week with games on Saturdays.
Rewards/Benefits: Helping the youth of our community grow in maturity, physical and intellectual abilities, responsibility and commitment.
Even if you have never coached a sport before you can be a vital part of the coaching staff. The current coaching staff will work with you to be integrated into the program in order for you to make a vital contribution for the 2008 football season. Our program and youth need your help.
Please contact Bob Haizel for any questions or for offering your help with coaching. (See About BDYF link on the left side of this page for Bob's contact information).
Adults - Other Ways To Be Involved !!!!
There are many other ways to be involved with Youth Football other than coaching!!!!
- Team Managers needed at all levels. Help the coaches and team out by doing all the little things the coaches have to do if you don't help!! Handouts each week for the upcoming games and collecting administrative paperwork required during the year. Ask the coaches what you can do for the team!!
- Game Statisticians are always needed. Keep game stats so the team knows how they did each week. The more statisticians for each team, the better the statistics are. These are a great help to the coaches and the team each week. The Head Coach will provide the sheets to help organize the statistics.
- Chain gangs are always needed for home games.
- Work the concession stand during the games. Pick your dates and times to work!!!
- Be an announcer in the booth!! Responsible Past Youth Football players can be announcers.
Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Friends and Neighbors - Get involved!!! Contact Bob Haizel for more information. (See About BDYF link on the left side of this page for Bob's contact information).

Players - Are You Ready?
The 2008 season starts in 16 weeks. Players - do you know where your muscles are? You can start with pushups. However, it is extremely important that you do a pushup correctly. Doing it incorrectly will not improve your muscles.
Notice the hands are even with the shoulders. When you are in the down position the hands should be wide enough to form a 90 degree angle at the elbow with you shoulders. On the down, your chest should not hit the ground. Your back is straight such that a board could be laid from your ankles to your shoulders.
Cardiovascular fitness is just as important. Don't wait for July to start your training. Get with other players and start your running today.
