Wednesday, July 18 A's Tie for 5th out of 18 teams at Alvo Jo Fischer in San Antonio After losing pool games to the SA Gator Girls and the Beaumont Blast, the A's were ready to come back fighting and win some bracket games. We won our first bracket game vs. the Texas Tigers. Our 2nd bracket game vs. the '92 Texas Comets went into ITB. We lost the ITB on a questionable call at the plate. This could have been anyone's ball game. We won our 3rd bracket game vs. the El Paso Classics. Our 4th bracket game vs. the Texas Tornadoes was a very hard fought game. It was a tie ballgame until the last inning when the A's managed to pull off one more run before having to go into ITB. Our 4th bracket game ended in a 5-4 loss to the '92 Round Rock Thunder. This was another very close game that could have gone either way.
We were happy to get lots of play time for the girls before heading to Southern Nationals in two weeks. The A's will take a week off and then start practicing hard for our trip to Broken Arrow, OK for Southern Nationals.
