Friday, October 10 WINTER JUNIORS TRYOUTS Tryouts for the 2008-2009 Air City Juniors teams will be held at Beavercreek High School, Sunday, November 2nd, 1pm to 5pm; Centerville High School, Saturday, November 8th, 5pm to 8:30pm; and one additional weeknight date at Fairmont High School, date and time to be announced soon. Sunday, September 28 Air City Chicks (new girls' club program) Announces 2008-09 Informational Meeting The innaugural Informational Meeting for the new AiR CiTY CHiCKS girls' club volleyball program will be held on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19 from 3-5 pm in the Alter High School Cafeteria. We will discuss club philosophies, fees, tryouts, and team structure along with conducting a Q&A session. AiR CiTY CHiCKS will conduct tryouts for all age groups and will entertain the possibility of fielding teams at ALL levels of play (local, regional & national). This new girls' volleyball club will be under the direction of Alter Volleyball Coach, Tina Jasinowski. Saturday, June 21 2008 LENT FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED Congratulations to Charles "Chas" Newhouse, class of 2008, Beavercreek High School. Chas was selected as the winner of the 2008 Bill Lent Memorial Scholarship from the Lent Family Foundation. This scholarship is a one-time $500 award to a senior male volleyball player who plans to continue playing volleyball in college at the varsity or club level. The award was presented during the west regional semi-final playoffs at Centerville High School. |
