2009 Season Registration! 

Registration for the 2009 Abington Little League season has begun. Please be sure to send in your medical release forms as well as your registration forms ASAP to help us prepare for the season. Your quick response helps us to formulate rosters, organize divisions, and gives us jump on aquiring coaches and sponsors. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. See you in the Spring!

New for 2009.......Online Registration!

For those of you who would like to use your credit card to register your child, you now have the option to sign up and pay directly from this site. Click on the link provided here or the title link in the story below. The form will walk you through the registration process. Please be sure to mail in your medical release forms as usual. There will be a nominal processing fee added to each registration. The usual discounts for registering multiple children will be applied at check out.

Journal
The Journal has offered the league a generous fundraising opportunity. For every $20 new or renewed 1yr. subscription sold through the Abington Little League, the paper will donate $10 back to the league! Simply fill out the form below to either purchase or renew your subscription. You can also call Editor Kristie Grier Ceruti at 585-1604 or email her at kgrier@theabingtonjournal.com for more info. Remember to mention the Abington Little League when subscribing to assure we get credit for the sale. Tell all your family and friends and help us raise some funds!  

Our league relies heavily on its volunteers to provide your child with a positive and rewarding Little League experience. Please consider a volunteer opportunity and get involved today! Congratulations to Orlando Foods who recently won the annual City County Tournament! This tournament matches league champions from both District 17 and District 32 Little Leagues to determine an overall champ. Orlando beat teams from North Pocono, Jefferson Township, Christy Mathewson & Carbino Club to reach the final game. Our Abington National champs defeated Connell Park to claim the title! The team will be honored at the annual City County Banquet at Genetti's in Dickson City on November 4th.

Abington American was represented by South Abington Police.

Orlando Foods team members include: Matt Bednarz, Brad Eckersley, Ricky Guditus, Jordan Hollander, Nate Hollander, Matt Huggler, Cory Kopicki, Tyler Ksiazek, Justin Levy, Stefan Olsen, Justin Porpiglia, Sam Vale, Head Coach: Darin Huggler, & Asst. Coaches Glenn Porpiglia & John Kopicki. 

Congratulations to our Abington American 9 & 10 year old All-Stars! They recently beat North Pocono 14-7 to capture the District 17 title. The team went on to win the Section 5 Tournament which consisted of teams from District 17, District 16, District 31, and District 32. They out-slugged Carbino club 14-13 to win the title. The team then moved on to the Eastern PA Regional State Qualifying Tournament in Newville, PA. Abington American got off to a great start as they beat Council Rock 13-11 but their State Title quest came to an end after a couple of hard fought losses. It is only the second time in our league's 50 year history that a team has made it to the State Tournament. Great Job!
