LACROSSE STRENGTH BLOG
Pete Koeniges, Athletic Trainer for Northern Highlands High School in Allendale, NJ, Athletic Trainer for the New Jersey Pride of Major League Lacrosse and owner/author of www.lacrossestrength.com, has started a Lacrosse Strength Blog. It can be found at http://lacrossestrength.blogspot.com. Check it out and post whatever comments or questions you may have regarding lacrosse, strength, conditioning and nutrition.
GET ON THE WALL!!! or GET ON THE GROUND.
Work on your catching and throwing between team practices and in the off season. If a wall or friend aren't available, practice your cradling or ground balls. Remember, there is only so much we can do in 4-6 hours of team practice per week. The work you do between and by yourself is what will make you the best lacrosse player you can be. Browse through the Links section and find a drill you like, use the one in the Tips/Handouts section or just simply alternate reps catching, throwing, scooping and cradling with each hand, concentrating the most on your weaker "off hand". Pay special attention to form and don't be afraid to make mistakes or drop the ball. Practice up to the level you want to play at game time.

For directions to all games, click on the game name and a box will pop up with directions. If you scroll to the bottom of that pop up window you will see a compass icon next to the location address. Click on that compass icon and a link will open with a map. You can get customized directions from your home by selecting Driving Directions: "To Here" and typing in your address. Clicking on the game location name will bypass the written directions pop up and bring you directly to the map. This could also bypass special instructions supplied by the host team for once you reach their location, for example field location within a large park or parking information, so check both to get the most complete information.
