------------------------- AVERY POINT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL-----------------------------------

Welcome to the home page for the UConn Avery Point Women's Basketball Team. Avery Point is a member of Region 21 in the NJCAA.    Please click on "schedules" on the left side of this page to see upcoming games or to see results.  You can also read about our players by clicking "roster".  This website is updated regularly and will provide current information on the program.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WOMEN'S TEAM for another phenomenal season.

We finished the season with a school record 17 wins.  We defeated an NJCAA division II school and also an NCAA division III school.  The team also earned national recognition by becoming the tenth ranked team in the entire country.  Another highlight was a regional tournament appearance and an NHTI tap-off tournament championship.

The team continues to search for quality student athletes. If you'd like to submit your name or someone else's name, please contact head coach Adam Leiser. His email is leiseraa@yahoo.com and his phone number is (203) 687-8354.  Our typical recruit is someone who does well in the classroom, is a good person and wants the opportunity to play basketball as a college freshman without having to play behind juniors and seniors.  After two years at Avery Point, student-athletes have the choice to relocate to Storrs or to transfer to an NCAA school and play immediately.  Our campus offers many general education classes that almost every college student must take.  Credits earned at Avery Point are transferrable to other universities.
