Teaming Equals Added Motivation
The goals of Team NorthShore are:
Group fun runs and training runs throughout the year. (WE even team up and run with other running clubs.) Special events. Training Programs, Activities and Current Club Group Run Schedule:
Sunday MORNING RUN Currently a fun run, although this run also can be used for race training or speed training, anyone can join us! Those showing up to run will plan the distance and route, with optional breakfast or coffee after. Runners in these qroup runs cover a wide range of abilities and distances. Newcomers are welcome, and there will usually be someone running near your pace and distance.
Group Training Sessions: Goals developed specifically for going the distance in The March Madness 1/2 Marathon in Cary IL, The Chicago’s Shamrock Shuffle 8K, Univeral Sole Lakefront 10-mile in April, Soldier Field 10-mile in May, The Chicago Distance Classic 1/2 Marathon in August, and the Chicago & other Fall Marathons. Professionally Coached Up Hill Interval Training: Starts Wednesday April 30th and continues for six weeks. See Calendar for details. There is no cost to this training. Professionally Coached Track Interval Training: Starts Wednesday June 11th and continues to October 8th. There is no cost to this training.
Professionally Coached Marathon Training Program: Begins 18 to 20 weeks before YOUR MARATHON and ends with a 10K race 4-6 weeks after YOUR MARATHON. A new benefit to members of Team NorthShore
If you can't find a time to run at the times above try The Evanston Running Club. Team NorthShore members - you can participate in any Evanston Running Club Run, even their track workouts however there is a small seasonal fee, you do not need to be a member of The Evanston Running Club. A Special Thanks for their support: To Running Right at 1770 First St. Highland Park, The GrossPoint Cafe at Ridge Rd & Wilmette Ave and Starbucks at Plaza del Largo. Tuesday, July 29 The New Trier High School Winnetka Campus Outdoor Track is closed for resurfacing. The NT outdoor track continues to be closed. The scheduled reopening is on or about 8/13. Until then we will continue to meet at the Plaza del Largo Starbucks at 5:50 AM. We will run out and back north off road on Sheridan. The Wednesday's workout will be a structured fartlek; short, long or mixed intervals. The Friday workout will be a Tempo Run, 20 - 40 minutes of max. lactate steady state pace sandwiched between a slow 10-minute warm up and 10-minute cool down. Both workout will continue to be coached. Saturday, July 5 WEATHER POLICY:
