to the St. Louis Lightning 94/95 Girls Basketball Team Website
Sept. 2004 - July 2007: The team we know as the ST. LOUIS LIGHTNING (first season as the St. Louis Sparks, no affliliation with the Spark Basketball Club), is now as they say part of history. The team has hung up their shoes for the last time. Looking back it has been an extraordinary three years. Hopefully the girls can take the fondest of memories with them and continue on with other teams. One thing for sure where ever these girls end up, their new teams will be much improved just by their presense. Congratulations and thank you to all the girls who had made this one of the greatest local youth teams ever.

2007 Show Me State Games 12 and Under Gold Medalists

Third Times A Charm
We did it! In the Lightning's third visit to the Show Me State Games the girls finally won the GOLD medal. This now completes the trophy cabinet with a gold, silver and bronze. The girls went undefeated through the competition going 3-0 in pool play and winning all three bracket games. The Lightning scored an average of 43.7 points a game while only allowing 17.5 points. WOW!
