Hawks play hard in EOS
The Hawks played one of their hardest games against TB on tuesday night.  With only 10 players and an extended format to 15 minute periods, they knew they had a tough hill to climb.  The hawks came out on fire with a goal by Sam Yauck which settled down the game for the first minutes.  The game was tied up until TB put 3 quick goals in the Net in 3 minutes.  The Hawks battled back and kept pressing and hitting missing on 7 golden scoring chances.  The battle raged on the whole game but the hawks just didn't have enough to send TB packing.  Great physical game presented by the Hawks.

Hawks win Two over the Weekend

Hawks Drop Two Over The Weekend
The Hawks played two tough games over the past weekend, posting two losses.  On Friday night the hawks play the Rockets and were tied going into the third period.  But the boys ran out of gas with only 9 on the bench to lose 4 to 0.  On Saturday Kirkwood came calling and the score was tied 1-1 going into the third.  The boys couldn't keep pace and only had 8 on the bench late in the 3rd and lost the game 4-1.  The team is showing that they can play with the teams in the league but being short on the bench has hurt them this season.

Hawks Tie The Sharks

The Hawks put together a complete game this afternoon to tie the Sharks.  After a penalty filled 2nd period, where the sharks had numerous 5 on four and 5 on 3 advantages and tallied 20 shots, the Hawks dug in and won the war in the trenches with a good team effort.  The first goal was put in by Edwards who cleaned up the garbage after a nice cycle and a shot from the bottom of the circle.  Goal number two was put in by Sam on a nice dangle move between two players after a nice saucer backhand pass from John Orelt.  James Halcomb put together a solid game with 37 saves.  The tie was a good boost for this young team and looks to put up more good numbers as the season goes on.

Hawks Show Up Againgst Sharks
The hawks showed up to play against the Sharks the Second time around.  The Hawks neted two goals in the first two periods by John Servos with assists from Austin Graf and Robert Pearson.  With an early 2-0 lead the Hawks seemed like they were on there way to a win.  However the wheels came off and the Sharks neted a late 2nd period goal to climb back into the game.  With that the hawks fell out of the game plan and started to get caught up in plays.  The Sharks neted 2 more regular goals in the 3rd to put it away.  With only 6 minutes remaining the Hawks were trying to climb back in it when the clock was droped due to time.  The goalie came out with a minute left and a 6 on 4 advantage.  The sharks put one in the net to put it away.
