You are my CHAMPIONS!!! What a great group of kids. Last night you showed your true grit. You left it all on the ice. What an effort and a never say die attitude right to the last whistle. To the six seniors, Donny, Nate, Jonathon,Rolin, Aaron, and Ryan, good luck in the future. You showed the way and the team followed. What a great four years you had. You should all be very proud of all you did and what the team accomplished. To the rest of the team, it is something that you all can build on and hopefully, it will lead to bigger and better things in the years to come. God Bless all of you and good luck.

WOW!!!Great game against Shaker last night. I have never seen the team look better in the four years I have followed you. Great defense and adequate offense. Great goal tending and fierce hitting and slashing skating. The last hit of the game was the only sour thing that happened in an otherwise well played game by both teams. It is unfortunate that some kids choose to take the low road in defeat, but Colin said something to the kid, and he showed a lot of class by not retaliating. Good luck Saturday. I'll be there.

Congratulations Comets on a great win over Shaker tonight! This was an awesome team effort and you should be very proud of yourselves. Keep up the great play this weekend against Lake Catholic. You've proven you can play with the best of them!

To Coach Mike Licata,
Congratulations on a very successful season and an excellent program that you and your staff conduct. These kids play hard for you and it is a tribute to your personality and your values. I have enjoyed these last two seasons and have told you often that you do a great job. Your selection as "Coach of the Year" is fitting and well deserved. Congratulations on the honor. Good Luck in the future to you, your staff, and your family. I look forward to the State tournament and to next season, as well.

To the Solon Comets Hockey team:
This team has accomplished so much. I watched the game yesterday and while I was disappointed with the outcome, I am pleased with the great competitiveness you showed to the end. True Grit. Congratulations on a great season and to Donny DeRoia, Nick Papa, Jonathan Hirko, Rollin Hannah, on their selection to the All League Team. To the Varsity Hockey Team:
I can't tell you how proud I am of this team. As a grandparent of two of the players I really enjoyed this season. You are a credit to your parents and the school. What a super season. It shows you what hard work can do. You worked hard and reaped the benefits. Good luck in the Baron Cup and the State tournament.

I like them Solons Comets and I thinks they gots a good keeper in that Johnny. He can stop a puck quicker than a possum bein chased by a hungry wolfhound.
