SEATTLE TITANS BASEBALL CLUB:
The Seattle Titans are a U17 boys baseball team comprised of young men from local Snohomish and King Counties.
2001 U10: The Titans won the PONY District and State Tournaments which qualified them to move onto the Pony Regional Tournament in Utah. The Titans won the Regional Tournament and moved onto the PONY Zone Tournament in Diamond Bar California. They lost a close game to Chino Hills 2-1. The Titans had lead the game 1-0 till the 7th inning. Chino Hills went on to the world series. The Titans record was 23-3-0.
2002 U11: The Titans played in the U12 PONY division. It was very good experience for the team and they went 19-6-1 for the summer, winning the PONY Divisional Tournament and placing 4th in PONY Regional Tournament.
2003 U12: The Titan's overall record was 42 - 4 - 1. The Titans won the MTYAA Pepsi Invitational, PONY North Sectionals and the Labor Day Blast tournaments. They placed second in the PONY North Regional Tournament and took third in the Maltby Invitational Tournament. They traveled to Whittier, CA to play in the PONY Zone Tournament where they played a tough Fountain Valley team and lost 2 - 1 after 10 innings. We also lost to an aggressive Anaheim, CA team, 6 - 4.
2004 U13: The boys played in a very competitive Washington State Sandy Koufax league. The Titan's overall record was 70-17-1. The team won the CABA/AAU Tournament at Moshier Fields in June. The championship game against the Kitsap Bulldogs was won in extra innings. The Titans were down by 3 in the bottom of the 8th and came back to win it all. The Titans also won their first international tournament playing in the Canadian American Classic in Oliver BC. The championship game was also a tough game won in extra innings against the Mudville Golden Eagles. The team traveled to the CABA Ultimate World Series in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. We played New York, Cincinnati, Arkansas, Tulsa, Puerto Rico and Spokane. The Titans placed second in the consolation bracket after losing a tough game to Spokane. We wound up the season against the Dominican Republic who came to Seattle looking for some games. We played at Evergreen 5 and we were able to get 4 games in over the weekend. It was a great experience for both the players and the parents of both teams.
2005 U14: The boys once again played in the Sandy Koufax league's Olympic Division as well as playing in the Evergreen State Baseball Association. The Titans overall record for the season was 68-9-1. The boys won 3 early tournaments, the Spokane Cinco De Mayo, the Jeff Thorton CABA National Qualifier and the Mickey Merriam CABA/AAU National Qualifier before going to Canada and repeating as Champions in the Canadian American Classic located in Oliver BC. They took 3rd in the Koufax State Tournament after a 1 run loss to the Seattle Stars in the semi-finals. The season was capped off with a USABA World Series Championship win in Pasco, Washington. The boys captured the title by fighting their way through the losers bracket and winning the final three games on the last day of the tournament in 100 degree heat. The final two games against a very good Kennewick All-Star team who came through the winners bracket and had beaten the Titans earlier in the tournament. Once again we were able to end the season by hosting the Dominican Republic in a Friendship Tournament. This was a great event and we were happy to be able to get more teams involved. The Kent Cannons, Woodinville Tigers, Spokland (Combination of Spokane and Richland) and a last minute addition of Frank Merrier's U13 team joined us for this great experience.
2006 U15: The Titan team set their sites on the CABA Ultimate World Series in Crystal Lake, Illinois this season. They worked hard through the winter, played for their high school teams, won tournaments and went through their spring Mickey Mantle season with Crystal lake in their minds. They amassed a regular season record of 25-2-0 and a tournament record of 28-9-0. They won the Memorial Day U16 Wood Bat Tournament, placed second in the Canadian/American Classic, won the 2006 CABA State Qualifier and won the Northern Region Mickey Mantle State tournament before placing 4th, out of 48 teams, in the CABA Ultimate World Series.
2007 U16: The Titans ended the regular season with 20 wins and 3 losses in the Mickey Mantle Olympic Division. Overall the team had 20 win and 11 losses int tournament play winning the championship in Moses Lake U 16 tournament, U16 CABA Regional Qualifier and the Amos Bacon Memorial. The Titans travelled to San Diego for the USABF World Series posting 5 wins and 4 losses and were knocked out of the tournament in a 4 to 5 loss to the Bakersfield Braves.
The Titans will be playing in the U18 Connie Mac league in 2008.
