2008 Schedules Posted
Hello Teams, welcome back to the start of another season of the SCSSL.  The schedules for the 2008 regular season and cup games have been posted.  I ask all team reps to double check this to your copies to avoid any confusion or discrepancies that may arise.

2008 Schedule Suggestion
Just a thought that I think we should go back to each team playing a Home and Away game against every team in the league instead of having 2 divisions. If it means more games, then wouldn't that be better? Also, you get to play some teams you don't otherwise get to play..in our current format. If it means scheduling games during the week, then so be it.

If I am unable to attend the league meeting at the end of November, this should be brought up.

Congratulations Collingwood Lakers - SCSSL Over-35 Cup Champions 2007
Congratulations to both teams for a competitive Final despite less than ideal conditions.

Congratulations Collingwood Lakers - SCSSL Over-35 League Champions 2007

An anticipated hard fought game ended with Collingwood wrapping up their 2nd consecutive league Championship 3-1 over the talented Barrie Xtreme.

Congratulations Innisfil Greyhounds Over-45 2007 Cup Champions

The game had to be decided by penalty kicks and there was much drama but Innisfil finally sealed it.  They win 2-1.

Indoor Soccer begins week of Oct 1, 2007

Attention all teams, please make sure you've registered to play in the Alliston Indoor Soccer Club that begins in 3 weeks!  Check with your team reps for info or contact me directly.  The New Tecumseth Rec Centre has completed building the indoor soccer facility complete with the latest state of the art turf.  You will need cleats to play, not indoor shoes.
