Welcome to the official site for the Rockets'98
Our '98's posed with their big sisters the '97's before they played each other Saturday in our 2nd bracket game of the USFA State tourney. We held them scoreless in the 1st inning and took a brief 1-0 lead before losing 7-2. It was an awesome game and people from all over the park were watching. Thanks '97's for the awesome support that you consistently give us. Our girls lost our 3rd bracket game by 1 run. We are so proud of the effort and heart that you all played with and we are ready for PCB.
Take 2nd in Shark Attack
Saturday our girls put on a show. They went 3-1 as the number 1 seed scoring 29 runs and giving up only 15. Our 1st year girls have worked hard and come so far as a team. They have a special chemistry that is hard to find and it is obvious when their only loss was to a team pitching a 2nd year pitcher, who they did beat in the 1st match-up. We are so proud of you girls, you all made contact off of this 50 MPH pitcher. All of this is preparing us for Panama City and there everyone will see what the Rockets'98 can do. Awesome job Rockets!
Saturday was an awesome day for ball at the Rockets Athens Friendly. The girls from the 96's, 97's, 98's & 99's took a break to pose for this group photo. They are a wonderful group of softball sisters. There's nothing better than being a ROCKET!
WOW! What a day our girls had on Saturday. Going 3-2 for the day to make it to the championship game. The day started with a 9:00AM game and ended at 10:45 PM. Our girls played awesome and fought hard to get to their 1st championship game against a tough Birmingham Bandits team. The end result was a strong 2nd place finish! Every-one played with heart and all of their hard work payed off. They ended up scoring 32 runs while only giving up 16. We are so proud of you ladies. Keep up the hard work and greater things are to come.
