Sunday, June 1Who will captain our concessions stand in 2009?
After many hard years at the helm of the good ship Consella, the concessions stand for NNLL at Murphy Field, and years of sweat, toil, hotdogs, skittles and pizza, Marie Caria will be setting course for smoother seas. We all wish her a Bon Voyage and thank her sincerely for her years of volunteering.
It's for the kids and with the help of many it can be a breaze! Part time, full time, beggars cannot be choosers! Come on down! We have volunteers that handle accounting, purchasing, food and beverage training. We need help with scheduling volunteers and a personable liason with our vendors. Please, try it for a month or a season! Every little bit helps.
We are able to generate funds from sales at our Concessions Stand that are used for field maintenance, equipment purchases, umpires, uniforms and much more. (You should see my lamborguini!) I don't even know how to spell it!
We're looking for a few good men or women! If you have any interest, or experience in food and beverage management, creating healthy and flavorfull refreshments for our community, or if you are just willing to help, then please contact Chris Banks via e-mail. chrisbanks@rcn.com
