Registration Information for teams from outside NVYSL:
|
| MYSC is inviting teams from outside North Valley (NVYSL) to play in our spring recreational (class 4) program. Please check with administrators from your home league to determine the best option for your team. Here are some of the specifics: |
| Option 1: "Play-Through" with your home league |
MYSC, a club of NVYSL will be administering its 3rd annual Class 4 only Spring program, offering play through with various leagues within District 2. Last year, MYSC had enough in-house teams for all divisions. However, critical mass issues arise with U12 and above age groups. Therefore, although we are offering play through for U8 and above, it is our hope we can attract older teams thru play through. We look forward associating with all age groups between U8-U16, and are hoping to seed at least 6 teams per division. The play through fee will be $100 per team. This fee will cover the administrative costs of coordinating the entire regular season + schedule and is independent of field or referee resources at play through home field locations. However, MYSC is prepared to offer age division coordinators to help coordinate communication between teams, as all teams will fall under the control of each age division coordinator. Communication will be done either thru email or by phone. Once field locations are finalized, the master scheduler will develop a schedule that is fair and balanced for each team, with games scheduled at Milpitas and at play through locations. If the team chooses to participate in the end-of-season jamboree/tourney, a participation fee will be required. To register a play-thru team, fill out this form: Click here to download form. |
| Option 2: Register your team as an MYSC team |
| This option is best when the team's home league is unable to provide home fields and/or referee resources to the team for hosting games. If this is the case, coaches should coordinate the registration of their team's players per the fees posted above. On the registration form, players should indicate their desire to be associated with the designated team, as practices will likely be held in near proximity to the team's home location (it is up to the coach to arrange any necessary field permits, etc.) However, in this case, the "home" game fields will be in Milpitas. No "team" fees apply, and participation in the end-of-season jamboree/tourney is included. |

What's good about CYSA?"Hi, I'm a former Milpitas resident (now in college) and I participated in Cupertino's CYSA program, even though the location was inconvenient. CYSA helped me develop as a player because of their tremendous organization and great coaches. Through participation in CYSA, I received a scholarship to a major university. I believe having a CYSA program in Milpitas helps our youth participate at this level of play locally."

Influential Coaches Endorse CYSA"I have been a college coach for 20 years and a Milpitas Resident for 12. I have always seen a need for a CYSA Soccer Program in Milpitas. There will be opportunities to play in local and statewide jamborees and tournaments, as well as the state, regional, and national tournaments. Also, if a player wants to and is capable, the Olympic Development Program is available through the state-run program."
