Our first swim meet is May 24th at El Lago.  Please look for the meet sign-up sheets at the pools and check off whether or not your child will swim at the meet.  Signups are due no later than this Sunday, May 18th.  Thanks

Practices until school is out are as follows:

Practice will shift to a morning schedule to be announced later on Friday June 6, 2008.

Reminders: 

1.  Although we are a summer league, we are a competitive league.  Please NO two piece suits for the girls.  Only a one piece competitive type suit is allowed. 

2.  Parents - Please DO NOT talk to the coaches during practice unless it is an emergency.  Find the parent on deck or a team rep and talk to them.  Otherwise, please wait until AFTER practice.  The coaches need to be able to watch the kids in the pool and coach them.

3.  Kickboards - if you have your own kickboards, please bring them to practice.  We are running short.  Please put your name on them.  Thanks

Parents of 8&U children - as part of your responsibility, you are required to sign up for two practice sessions as a Parent-On-Deck.  This position is to help maintain a safe and orderly atmosphere in the pool deck area so that the coaches can coach and the children are safe.  Please look at the calendar and sign up for two sessions.  The calendar icon for Parent-On-Deck is the swim goggles.

Time to get those drinks turned in!!! Each season we ask every family to donate a case of water and either a 12 pack of 20 oz. gatorade or a 12 pack of soda. The donated drinks are sold at the concession stands during the meets to bring in money for the team. Any leftover drinks are used at the end-of-season party or donated. Please deliver the drinks with your name on it to the home of Steve and Jennifer Ellis at 2023 Town Hill, 77062 in the Bay Forest Subdivision. Thanks.

We will be using the same suit as last year. A-Gleam Swimwear will be at practice on May 22nd for fittings and purchases of suits. You can also stop by the A-Gleam store and pick up a suit if unable to make Time Trials. Just mention you are with the Brooks Blue Marlins.
