WILDCAT WEEKLY                     Oct. 7, 2008

 THIS WEEKS REMINDERS:            

IMPORTANT:  -         We need parents to help out, as we are the host of the second round of playoffs on Sat. Oct. 18^th, please sign up at the concession stand.  The games start at 10:00 a.m. and there are two fields being played on.  We need several volunteers to help out, in different areas, so be sure to get signed up.  We need people for the chain gang, concession stand, split the pot, clean-up, and grilling.  It takes a lot of help to make it run smoothly. 

-         We will also be hosting the cheer comp. on Sunday, Oct 19^th, we will also need several volunteers for this day.    

GAME DAY HIGHLIGHTS:  It was another sweep on Sunday for the WILDCAT TEAMS, it was almost a complete SHUT OUT for the second week in a row!!! 

The JR’s started the day off, they have really improved and learned a lot, we would like to thank all of their coaches as they did a great job teaching these Little Dudes how to play the game. 

The Superlight team came out first to shut down  Momence 21-0.  The Superlight team ends their season at 7-1 overall.  They are seeded second in the division playoffs, receiving a bye in the first round. Their first playoff game will be on Sat. Oct. 18^th right here in Wildcat Country.  Great job to the coaches and team, keep it up as we move into playoffs! 

The Lightweight team followed suit shuting down Momence 12-0. The Lightweight team ends their season at      5-3.  The lightweights are seeded third in the division playoffs, they will be playing Monee on this Sat. Oct. 11, in Reed Custer at 2:30 p.m..  Come out and support your Lightweight team to victory!   

The Jv team came out and added to the shut out, defeating Momence 20-0.  The JV team ended their regular season play at 7-1.  They are seeded first in their division for playoffs.  They have also earned a bye in the first round.  They will play on Sat. Oct. 18, at home.  Way to go team and coaches, keep up the momentum!          

Then out came Varsity to give Momence their fourth loss on the day, defeating them 37-19.  The Varsity team ended the season with 5-3 record.     They have also earned a bye in the first round as they are ranked second in their division for playoffs.  The Varsity will play their next game at home on Sat. Oct. 18^th.  Good job team and to the coaching staff. 

As we enter into playoffs, we would like to congratulate all of our teams on their outstanding seasons.  All of our teams have a great chance to advance thru the playoffs and on to the Superbowl, lets be sure as parents and fans to SUPPORT all of our teams through out the PLAYOFFS.        

Thanks to all of our Cheer Squads, they have done an awesome job supporting their teams.  They have been working hard to get ready for their cheer comp on Sun. Oct. 19^th, being hosted in Manteno.Thank you to the girls and the coaches for all of their hard work! 

GAME TIME:     Show your Support as the Lightweights travel to Reed Custer to take on Monee at 2:30, Sat. Oct. 11^th.  Go Lightweights!!! Equiptment turn in reminder, we hope none of our teams have to turn in their equiptment until after the Superbowl, but in the event of a loss the equiptment would need to be turned in on the next Tues. following the loss.A list was passed out at the beginning of the season on what needs to be turned back in, please be sure we get all of the equiptment back.  Thank you. Be sure to check out the Wildcat Website as John Kaufman and Dave Peters have posted many photos from the games on the site.  Thank you for taking all of the photos!!!
