Marlton Boys Lacrosse Spring 2008 Registration
High School Club Lacrosse
We are currently working with the Board of the South Jersey Youth Lacrosse League to establish regional High School lacrosse teams for competition this spring. If you are interested in participating please e-mail us at marltonlax@comcast.net and we will keep you advised of our progress in putting this program together. We will also update this Website with additional information for all interested parties as we work out the details for the season.
Welcome to MRC Boys Lacrosse (Lax).
Our program is governed by the Marlton Recreation Council (MRC), a non-profit volunteer organization whose purpose is to provide organized sports and promote sportsmanship. MRC Lax provides opportunites for Lacrosse players at all levels, from 3rd grade to 12th grade, to participate. Parents are asked to take an active roll in our Lacrosse program. We are looking for volunteers to get and keep the boys lacrosse program running. If you are interested, please contact MRC Boys Lacrosse Commissioner, Kevin Callaghan, via email at marltonlax@comcast.net or by calling 983-3000 extension 30. Please be sure to visit our sponsors page!!!

The Eleven Fundamentals of Lacrosse - by Drew Bowden
1.You must learn to catch, throw, and shoot left-handed and right-handed.
2.The more time you play with your stick perpendicular to the ground, as opposed to parallel to the ground, the better player you are.
3. Move the ball. The less time the ball spends in your stick, the better player you are.
4. Move the ball off the ground.
5. Move without the ball.
6. Move to the ball.
7. Look at a spot behind the goalie as you shoot.
8. Shoot with a quick release.
9. Defensemen must have better stick work than any other position on the field.
10. Play defense like a boxer boxes.
11. You don't have to take the ball away to be a good defenseman.
