CHRISTMAS PARTY!
Our annual Christmas Party/Awards presentation will be on 14 December, 6PM at Mark Pierce's house. Please RSVP with Mark so he knows how many is coming and what dish you are bringing. Please bring a gift for a boy or girl under the age of 10 to be donated for Clarksville area children for Christmas. 2007 fishing season ends after 10 November tournament
MCBC wrapped up it's 2007 tournament season on 10 Nov out of Bumpus Mills marina. Congratulations to all on a successful and competitive year on the water. The top 10 in the standings this year were 1st Mark Pierce, 2nd Walt Herman, 3rd Tony Meador, 4th Gene Henderson, 5th Jimmy Lee, 6th Bill Gazafi, 7th John Howell, 8th Ken Stafford, 9th Craig Musselman and 10th Brad Pressley.

Congratulations to Mark Pierce
Mark Pierce fished in the Federation Nation Championship 8-10 Nov on Florida's lake Toho with 54 of the Nations top anglers. Mark finished 13th overall and was second in his division. He missed making the Bassmaster Classic by a mere 1lb 7ozs. Better luck next time...

Bill Gazafi wins last point tournament of the year
On Nov 10th we held our last point tournament for the 2007 year. Bill Gazafi took 1st place with a little over 10lbs followed by Walt Herman with 9lbs and Ken Stafford with 8. Great job everyone.
Monday, October 1
MCBC Team takes 2nd place in 2007 State Team Championship on Old Hickory
Six members of the Montgomery County Bass Club, Mark Pierce, Gene Henderson, Lonzie Brewer, Brad Pressley, Craig Musselman and Marlyn Hill fished hard for two days to take 2nd place in the tournament. After day one they were in dead last with one little fish but they had a meeting that night, made some adjustments and came back on day two and finished 2nd. The top 12 anglers from this tournament move on to the 2008 Southern Divisional held April in South Carolina. Out of our six member team, three qualified. Mark Pierce finished in 1st place overall and will be a boater in the Divisional, Lonzie Brewer finished in 10th place overall and Marlyn Hill finished in 12th. Both of them will be non-boaters in the Divisional. The six member team also qualified for the 2008 Regional team championship being held on Lake Guntersville in Alabama next May. Great job and an awesome performance by the entire team.

Mark Pierce and Ralph Parker wins 22 Sep point tournament out of Lick Creek
After a week of cool weather the heat returned. We had 90s today with bluebird skies and little to no wind. Mark Pierce and Ralph Parker was never more than a mile from the boat ramp and managed to catch a limit weighing 11.91lbs that included the day's big bass at 3.67lbs. Mark said he caught his big bass on a 1/2 oz gold rattletrap near wood cover at the back of the creek in less than 3' of water. The other four fish in their limit came of a chunk rock bank in 8' of water dragging and bouncing tubes of the rocks. 2nd place team was Tony Meador and Bo West who brought two fish to the scales weighing 5.01lbs and 3rd place was Ken Stafford and Bill Gazafi with two bass weighing in at 4lbs even.

1st Annual Armed Services YMCA Benefit Bass Tournament
Come on out to Lick Creek on Saturday, Oct 13th and have a great time fishing in the 1st annual Armed Services YMCA benefit bass tournament. Fun for the entire family. The flyer and registration form will be posted soon under the handouts section of the website. Details on the tournament and events after the weigh in will be posted soon so check back often for changes. As of now the tournament will be going out of Lick Creek on Lake Barkley. Entry fee will be $101 per boat with an optional $10 big bass pot.

Mark Pierce wins 25 Aug 2007 club tournament
The bite on KY lake continues to be hit or miss with the hot weather, no current and grass clogging up the shallower ledges. Mark Pierce caught three keeper fish weighing 12.75lbs including two bass over 5lbs that took big bass honors. 2nd place with four bass at 10.38lbs was Walt Herman and new club member Jeff Giarrizzo. Rounding out the top three places was Terry Sternard and Mike Suddoth with three fish weighing 6.17lbs. Great job everyone! Mark Pierce caught his first small keeper on a spinnerbait along the edge of some grass on a shallow point. His two fish over 5lbs came on a 3/4oz green pumpkin jig and a 10 1/2" Plum ole monster worm on a main lake ledge.

Out of state anglers Purvis Price and Allen Parrish win Annual Night Tournament
22 boats showed up Saturday night to fish in the annual MCBC night open out of Paris Landing on 28 July. It was a little windy out there and it never let up all night long but a few anglers were able to find the right area and bring in a good limit. Purvis Price and Allen Parrish had a five fish limit weighing 17.32lbs. It was a solid bag of 3lb class fish. 2nd place spot was taken by Scott Johnson and Jeremiah Holland who was just behind first place with 17.19lbs including the tournament big bass weighing 5.92lbs. Coming in at 3rd place was Jason Meadows and Mike Hardin and they had five bass weighing in at 16.26lbs. The top three places was a really close race and most every one had 10lbs and up.
Sunday, July 8
Brad Pressley and Mike Shultz pulls through on a tough day...
It was a very tough tournament on KY Lake July 7th with very low weights. Brad and Mike found some of the right fish to take the win with 6.31 lbs. Brad also took big bass honors with a nice 4lb 6oz largemouth. They caught their fish on a 10" worm and carolina rigging. Tony and Joe won 2nd place with 4.62lbs and Mark and John took 3rd with 3.15lbs.

Team Walt Herman and Brad Pressley wins latest club tournament
During our latest club tournament out of Lake Barkley State Resort Park on 23 June 2007 Walt Herman and Brad Pressley took first place with a nice catch weighing 15.37lbs. Most of the bass they brought in came on a black and blue jig. Coming in at 2nd place was Mark Pierce and Rob Sketch with a sack weighing 13.56lbs that included the big bass 4lb 11oz. 3rd place was Tony Meador and Bo West with five fishing weighing 12.62lbs.
