 GREAT JOB to all our boys in each division and girls on both cheer squads for putting in a lot of hard work this year. It was a pleasure to watch you learn and grow with the program.

The first games of the year begin this Saturday, August 25th. The Liberty Pop Warner program has a long standing tradition of fielding teams that possess a high level of passion and desire to play the game of football. We also are known for our high level of sportsmanship and professional coaches. Please help us make this year's program our best ever! The coaches have done the prep work and your player and cheerleader have worked very hard since the beginning of August. They are now all ready to go this weekend. So, support your team and coach to the fullest extent. Reinforce with your child the role they have been chosen to play. Most importantly, have a GREAT time! So players, fasten those chin straps and cheerleaders get those voices ready to go! Give it your very best, every play! The other teams better watch out because......... Liberty Blue Jay pride is about to take the field!

ABOUT US:

Liberty Pop Warner is proud to provide the opportunity of teaching the fundamentals of tackle football and cheerleading to the young boys and girls within the Liberty area. Our participants not only learn the fundamentals of the sport, but also how to be a team player. During the 2006 season we had 168 participants that made 8-football teams and 1-cheer squad, a 40% growth from the previous year. We look forward to increasing those numbers for the 2007 season.

We are a member of the Heart of America Pop Warner league in Independence, MO, and the Mid-America Pop Warner Region in Chicago, IL. Our teams are developed according to the National Pop Warner age/weight matrix (http://www.popwarner.com/admin/07weights.pdf). Practices are held locally in the Liberty area, with games being played every Saturday, beginning the end of August through October, at the Heart of America fields in Independence.

We are also proud of the fact that Pop Warner is one of the only associations that recognizes the academic accomplishments within the classroom. Liberty Pop Warner has had many participants selected as Little Scholars at the Regional and National level over the last few years. This year our very own Trevor McNeal was selected as the 7th Grade Boys Top Scholar at the Mid-America Regional Little Scholars Banquet held in Chicago, IL, on March 10, 2007!
