TEAM BACKGROUND

The current "LS 94 SILVER Rising U13B "D" Travel team" started one year and a half ago as a new team under the existing “A,” “B,” and “C,” team structure of the U12B travel team category.  We began playing in the Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL) Div II and were immediately promoted to our current level of ODSL Div I after only one season.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Our mission is to create a stimulating and fun soccer teaching environment such that both the individual and team tactics are stressed.   We continually focus on the importance of on-the-field communication as well as the technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the worlds most popular sport.  The current coaching staff are all soccer addicts and we love imparting our knowledge and serving as positive role models to your sons.  We typically train two days during the week for two hours each session and during one practice each week a professional trainer is used.

COACHING STAFF

• Head Coach – Ray Anderson, VYSA E license, National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advanced Regional Diploma, NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA State Goalkeeping Diploma, and plans to further coaching education with a D license this Summer.  Over 35 years  of  coaching experience at both the recreational and travel levels with three different soccer clubs; Lee Mt. Vernon Soccer Association, Prince William Soccer, and the “best” Loudoun Soccer.   Playing experience includes 3 year starter at Hayfield High School, East Carolina University, and Division I Northern Virginia Soccer League (NVSL).
