      Kiley's Pitching Lesson History

I've been a pitcher all my life. In the circle was where i belonged and who i was. My will to be a pitcher started at a early age. My father who was also a fastpitch softball pitcher for 20 years inspired me to follow in his footsteps. I was on the mound at 6 weeks old (no joke) my dad carried me onto the mound. After that it seems my mind was on one track: to be like daddy and be a pitcher! I pitched from Bobby Sox Softball age at 6 and moved on through West Anaheim Little League Softball. From there I moved into the Cypress Girls Softball League. Moving on to travel ball and high school. I graduated from Cypress High School in 2000 after playing 4 years for the team there. Even with the chance to play for colleges from far home I decided to stay close to home and go to Cypress College. I finished there in 2003 swimming and playing waterpolo as well. Looking back I can credit one person for the fact that I'm a coach. My friend came to me with the idea of helping her give a pitching clinic in a league she'd played in. I knew after that afternoon I had found a new love for the sport. So at 17 I started on my venture. This was no easy task but I loved what I was doing and kept at it. Taking all the certifying classes possible and working hard. Now 6 years later I have lots of success stories, handfuls of all-stars, and moments I will never forget. I pride myself in making each of my girls the best they can be. I believe any girl with enough drive can be a pitcher. I'm passionate about what I do and I love good form! My girls can tell you that. After all half of pitching is looking good doing it and feeling good about yourself. I teach my girls to stay positive and be confident in themselves. Remember softball can never have too many pitchers! See you in the circle!
