The NVSC Jr Royals '96 are a rising U-11 boys travel soccer team for the Fall 2007 season participating in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) Division 3.

The coaches of the team, Christine Chambers, Matt Michaelangelo and Ned Richmond, are committed to establishing a winning program both on the field and off. The team trains to implement a possession style of soccer that focuses on ball control and passing. While the coaches strive to improve the boys’ soccer skills and look to success, they will also focus on the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and putting forth your best effort. The Royals’ program also includes social activities for the boys to foster team spirit and camaraderie, and will look for opportunities to involve the team in community service. We also look to recognize academic success and improvement from members of the club. In the process, we hope to make it a fun and enjoyable experience for all.

The sponsoring club is the Northern Virginia Soccer Club (NVSC), located in Manassas, Virginia.

"I am dedicated and committed to the team. I will not only teach soccer skills, but general life skills by encouraging the boys to be responsible as well as hold them accountable. Additionally, they will need to learn to work together and respect the power of the team. Basically, I will treat each one of the boys as though he were my own son, with love and respect. Congratulations to the boys on their second place finish in the 2007 Spring Breakout Capitol Cup Tournament. The JR Royals lost 2-1 in the finals of the tournament after winning both games on Saturday and their semi-final game on Sunday.
