RELAY FOR LIFE

MONEY RAISED BY BRUNSWICK RELAY EVENT: $103,588.44

THE RELAY IS A TIME & PLACE WHERE PEOPLE COME TO CELEBRATE THOSE WHO HAVE SURVIVED OR ARE BATTLING CANCER, TO REMEMBER THOSE WE HAVE  LOST, AND TO HELP FIGHT BACK AGAINST A DISEASE THAT TOUCHES WAY TOO MANY LIVES.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE RELAY EVENT WITH US. TO MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND PLAYERS THAT CAME AND WALKED THE TRACK, AND TO THOSE THAT COULDN'T COME BUT MADE A DONATION TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY - I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!  ALSO THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT SPENT THE EVENING AND STAYED UP ALL NIGHT WITH ME. CANCER MAKES SO MANY PEOPLE FEEL HELPLESS, BUT PARTICIPATING IN THIS EVENT IS SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE CAN DO, AND WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONES LIFE.

2008 INVADERETTES

On Saturday 4-19-08, Invader players Randy Brewster, Reggie McCory, Todd Pitts, Bubby Thomas, and Chris Coleman, along with Mark and Steph Clement were able to donate our time and spend an afternoon with some of the children at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. Due to the generosity of our teammates, as well as Perry school students, we did not go empty-handed - donating over $800 in items for the patients. Autographed photos of the guys were personalized for the children and passed out as well as Invader t-shirts to the children on that floor. *photos were not able to be taken of the children due to patient privacy/confidentiality without the written permission of the parent.

The Ohio Invaders became Partners In Hope through WGAR's Radiothon  on 2/15/08 committing to make monthly donations for St Judes Childrens's Research Hospital. St Judes takes care of children with cancer and other catastophic diseases. All children accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay - no one pays for treatment beyond what is covered by insurance, and those without insurance are never asked to pay.  Click on the above banner for additional information.
