Eligibility and Protest Procedure
ELIGIBILITY--- revised 4/8/08
1. All players must be a least 18 years of age and may appear on one Mens League roster.
2. Player must be in "Good Standing" with the league in order to play. Participating is a privilege and not a right.
3. It is encouraged that all participants have some athletic ability and do not pose a threat to other players, umpires, and spectators.
PICKING UP PLAYERS IN ORDER TO AVOID FORFEIT --- revised 4/8/08
1. Anytime a team "picks-up" NON-ROSTER players it should be because they're about to forfeit, and not to "stack" their team.
2. The opposing team must AGREE and ALLOW your team to "pick-up" and play a regulation game.
3. Pick-ups are NOT PERMITTED in the playoffs.
4. Should a tie-breaker decision come down to a team that had to "pick-up" and a team who did not "pick-up" in the regular season, the team that did not will advance to the playoffs.
PROTEST PROCEDURE--- (Huntsville Mens Softball League) :
Step One: Be 100% sure that the player that you're about to question is NOT on the active team roster of your opponent.
Step Two: Be sure to spot ineligible players immediately. Do not wait until 45 minutes into the game to challenge.
Step Three: Ask the team manager to sit the player down, if he's not eligible or plays for a different team. This is also a good time to inform the umpire. The umpire will share your options, if any.
Step Four: Umpires will have the final decision. Period.

FINAL ROSTER DEADLINE - 2008
The deadline for the final rosters for the SPRING/SUMMER session 2008, is MAY 24. If you have any alterations to your roster, please contact Ed at rca_elc@shsu.edu.
Thanks.
Teams can challenge another team's eligibility by way of protest. Appropriate protest can be explained by game umpires. Should a protest be upheld, teams would lose the contest and also jeopardize their playoff status.
A PERSON'S NAME MAY APPEAR ON JUST ONE ROSTER. Check the Roster link (after April 20) for roster status.
*The book down at Josey Field will also have updated rosters.
